Professional violin recording for film, television, commercial projects and independent releases in London and remotely.
As a session violinist, my role is to understand the creative intention of a project and realise it with precision and musical sensitivity.
I provide violin recording for composers, producers and artists across a range of genres, including classical, contemporary, cinematic and cross genre projects.
Studio and Remote Recording
I work with clients across various professional studios to record sessions as well as recording through remote collaboration.
I understand that efficiency in the studio is essential. Parts are prepared thoroughly so that recording time is used productively and creatively.
For remote projects, I deliver high quality audio recordings prepared to agreed technical specifications.
Communication in advance ensures clarity regarding tempo, interpretation, articulation and delivery format.
Commissioned Arrangements and Creative Input
In addition to recording written parts, I can prepare violin arrangements and contribute creative input if required.
This may include developing melodic lines, layering textures, shaping string sections through overdubbing or adapting traditional material to suit a contemporary context.
The violin can function as a lyrical solo voice or as part of a broader sonic landscape.
Reading and Adaptability
Strong sight reading and stylistic flexibility are central to my session work.
Projects vary widely in character and pace, with some requiring detailed interpretation of a written score while others invite improvisation and collaborative exploration.
Selected Projects
Recent work includes commissioned recording for an international travel feature and participation in a remotely recorded orchestral collaboration during the COVID period.
Although widely different in character, these projects both demonstrate adaptability across visual media, ensemble contexts and studio environments.
